Peperomia prostrata aka String of Turtles

Hello!

Thank you for choosing us as your plant providing service! We are so happy to work with you. We are pleased to introduce you to our friend Peperomia prostrata aka String of Turtles.

Peperomia prostrata aka String of Turtles is a semi-succulent plant species, member of Piperaceae family, native to Brazilian rainforests. They are loved due to their beautiful round, fleshy leaves with pattern that resembles that of a turtle shell. It is a beautiful plant that will look it's best in a hanging pot or on a shelf because of its vining growth habit.

PLANT CARE:

  • Very bright spot without direct sunlight is best suited, although a small amount of direct sun may not do harm.
  • Underwatering will cause wilting and overwatering can seriously harm the plant, causing root rot. Water thoroughly when the soil starts to dry out using bottom-watering method. Using a Sustee Moisture Meter stick helps to figure out how much moisture is in the soil so you don’t under or overwater.
  • Normal room humidity should be fine. Increasing humidity and grouping it with other plants is good practice.
  • Fertilise the soil with diluted fertiliser suitable for houseplants twice a month during growing season.
  • Will benefit from regular pruning by removing leggy stems to keep the plant to your desired shape.
  • Pet friendly.

We do take a good care of our green creatures in the "jungle office" but those are living beings, it's better to watch them for some while, let them adapt and in this way keeping yourself from some surprises.

Every new plant owner is a valuable asset to our plant-lover community, so don't hesitate to share your thoughts, poems, or feedback, using #easypotfamily, tagging us, or writing to @easy_pot on Instagram. Also, we would really appreciate if you could leave us a review on our EASYPOT Facebook page. Even a tiny little one sentence means a lot to us! :)

May you and Peperomia prostrata live happily ever after!

Best, EASYPOT family
